Proposal
Problem: Sales teams across the country needed a consistent
proposal package.
Solution: Compile various versions, obtain consensus on
information, write and design an individualized package to clearly convey
the products along with an easily understood and executed template for
salesmen to customize each proposal. (Also developed a web-enabled application
for same.)
Results: Measurable increase in sales (over 40%) with prospective
clients commenting how comprehensively and clearly the product was presented.
Global
Corporate Website
Problem: With dozens of websites designed by different developers,
a global corporation of 30 companies needed a consistent presence.
Solution: Develop a corporate hub website with the goal
of having the user get what he needs within two clicks. (www.accessMRM.com)
Results: Well designed site conveyed professionalism and
sophistication; aided in the sale of several of the companies.

Tools Alternatives
Problem: Tool used by field salesman listing all available
products was outdated within a week of printing; not cost-effective to
keep reprinting.
Solution: Develop a web-enabled application; combine three
legacy databases into one, linking to application; build interface for
website users to find out what products are available as well as an interface
for internal users to update.
Results: Assurance of complete, timely and accurate product
information; increased inquiries from target audience.

Problem: Desire to build a branded source of industry information
while expenses for publishing industry magazine exceed budget and with
frequency slipping.
Solution: Develop and build an online e-zine. (www.crsReview.com
but not completely finished yet).
Results: Users able to access up-to-date articles as well
as historical issues.

Problem: How to establish and differentiate a website developer
from the competition.
Solution: Focus on customer service and satisfaction. Develop
saleable website critique product for comparative and competitive analysis
of prospect's business and competitors'; develop programmers' guidelines
for improved search engine results.
Results: Company went from brand new to #5 in the region
in two years.

Problem:
Need to educate pregnant women about the dangers of second-hand smoke.
Solution: Develop a high-impact poster for distribution
to obstetrician and community heath offices.
Results: Physicians reported increased awareness from patients
resulting in decreased newborn health problems.

Need to educate encourage high school students to not use drugs or alcohol.
Solution: Develop a poster to hang on school walls.
Results: Increased awareness of alternatives, ten years
after first distribution, the copy was typed into an email by unknown
persons and distributed widely through email contacts across the globe.

Problem:
Need to educate the public about immunizing children.
Solution: Develop public service campaign utilizing the
Governor's wife as spokesperson. Included poster, immunization card, TV
and radio.
Results: Immunizations increased by 20% in six months.

Need RFP
Problem: Need RFP for $10 million advertising/marketing
program.
Solution: Research, write, design, format, output RFP. Send
to 40 large national agencies, follow-up, compile responses, analyze,
recommend five finalists.
Results: Unfortunately, the client did not launch any program,
but acknowledged the process was incredibly smooth and efficient, with
the best solutions presented.

Quick
Newspaper Ad
Problem: Client wrote and laid-out (in MS Word) a small
newspaper ad, but needed to attract more attention.
Solution: Re-wrote the copy, determined a "visual draw"
for the audience, re-laid out the flow, all within very limited timeframe.
Results: Client satisfied with increased customer inquiries
and applications.

Other Sample Projects
Problem:
Client's prospect required a particular software program be used in managing
their projects, but company did not have it even though salesman said
they did.
Solution: Locate and purchase the program, install it, quickly
learn to use it, pull the prospect's information into the program to demonstrate
ability to manage their project as expected -- all within a 6 hour timeframe,
then train the employees to use the program.
Results: Prospect awarded the contract to my client.
Problem:
Client's prospect was ready to award major job based on using certain
software, but client not currently using it, deadline critical.
Solution: Found the software, installed it, learned it (had
8 hours to learn and implement job details/parameters). Client won the
job.
Results: Trained to use it and successfully handled the
project for his client.
Problem:
In-house proofreaders inconsistent.
Solution: Develop proofreader's test to ensure new hires
were able to function at expected levels; trained current proofreaders
on production details.
Results: Proofeading became more thorough with very few
errors -- in addition, all new hires were able to be trained to match
the process.
